WBCT Donates to Feeding Barrow

BCSS staff and students are very grateful for Winder Barrow Community Theatre’s long-time support of the Feeding Barrow program following their summer Children’s PLAYhouse production each year. Local audiences were recently entertained by the cast and crew members performing Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz, July 11-13th. During each of these shows, WBCT shared about local childhood food insecurity and the important student support program of Feeding Barrow. A portion of the ticket sales from the Wizard of Oz along with donations from the cast and crew totaling $627.00 were recently presented to BCSS Feeding Barrow representatives. Through Feeding Barrow’s partnerships with local non-profits these donations are used to support the weekend meal bags sent home with Barrow children in need.
